Abstract

The use of educational games in the teaching of Geography is an innovative pedagogical strategy that promotes active learning. This study analyses the implementation of an open-access online game in eighth grade education, with a special focus on understanding sectors of economic activity. The methodology adopted was based on observing the students' interaction with the platform, as well as analyzing the learning consolidated through playing the game. The results obtained suggest that gamification has a positive impact on student motivation, facilitating the assimilation of geographical concepts and promoting a more engaging and meaningful learning experience.
