In the context of practical curricular units (CUs) such as Illustration, teaching should be thought of in a dynamic way, seeking to develop skills and knowledge close to the context of the labor market. This article intends to reflect on several pedagogical tools in the context of highly practical curricular units, such as the artistic areas, drawing and illustration. These tools, as well as the appropriate teaching methodologies, can enhance the student's interest and involvement with the proposed work, resulting in a more active participation in the classroom. The organization of space in the classroom, the moments of collective dialogue, the dynamic presentations, the construction of a work process on sketchbook, are some of the tools that can guide the student towards a more solid learning, based on progressive evolution. These strategies tend to encourage trust and comfort to students, aiming to create an environment for exploration and learning. In this article, a set of evaluation moments formalized through exercises and work proposals will be presented where the student is introduced to the practices of drawing and illustration without fear of error through an opening of the possibilities of drawing, starting from the need to enhance the message visual through technique.
