About the Journal

This is the website of E-REI - E-Revista de Estudos Interculturais, an annual journal published by the Center for Intercultural Studies (CEI) of the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Politécnico do Porto.
The idea for this journal arose from the interest of our students and research fellows in scientific activity and the need to disseminate the work carried out by the CEI and its collaborators and partners, both national and international, both teachers and students.
The pages of E-REI create a virtual space for the exchange of ideas and research in the vast area of Intercultural Studies, in its intersection with Cultural Studies, Translation & Interpretation Studies, Communication Studies and Literary and Linguistic Studies.
E-REI is a journal created, constructed and written in freedom and complicity, just as the research carried out by CEI is free and complicit. The title is intentionally ambiguous and ironic. And courageous. If we make mistakes, it's because we tried. All the authors have traveled a winding and difficult path together, much higher than usual, a path that has offered us new perspectives, landscapes and memories. Like a mountain road with an incomparable panorama.
