It is proposed in the present article to carry out a previous study of the so-called Sonetto I written by Raffaello de Sanzio (1483-1520) and its translation into Spanish. Likewise, another lesser known facet of the famous Cinquecento Italian painter and architect is his poetry and will be illustrated and related to other renaissance artists' poetic output.
