This article investigates the pedagogical practices of physical education teachers in the municipal school system of Belém city, in the state of Pará, with the aim of identifying ways to promote anti-racist physical education. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected that reveals challenges such as recreational racism, the lack of specific teacher training, and the dismantling of public policies. Despite the difficulties, teachers point to dialogue, the intentional use of physical practices, and the appreciation of African and Brazilian indigenous cultures as viable strategies. The study highlights the need for institutional support and continued research to consolidate physical education committed to racial equity.
