This article aims to reflect on how Education can avoid the End of Art. The main method of study involves the approach of two authors, using their perspectives as a starting point for presenting a theory about the End of Art. We therefore turned to Anne Cauquelin and Boris Groys. Cauquelin seeks to present two fundamental premises: the emerging perspective of Contemporary Art, the way it becomes a system for defining social status, creating a distance between the public and art. Groys presents two complementary premises, the emergence of activism in art and the development of art on the Internet. The way in which activism in art is carried out today is exposed, as well as the issue of the lack of consensus about art on the Internet.
Following the statements of the different authors, an explanatory theory of the end of art is shared, using the aforementioned authors as a starting point.
Accompanied by this moment of reflection, we present how Education can put an end to the end of art. This moment consists of a proposal for methods by which art can be inserted into education, in the educational context, inside/outside the classroom.
