Promote cultural heritage through entrepreneurship and creativity: the Google Arts & Culture project

This article intends to present and discuss the results of an inter and transdisciplinary Project Based Learning (PBL) involving the teachers and students of the Curricular Units of German, Spanish and French Culture III and of the Curricular Unit of Technologies for the Intercultural Communication integrated in the Masters in Intercultural Studies for Business (MISB) of ISCAP, as well as the Santo Tirso International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture (MIEC) and the Google Arts & Culture platform. In this project, students were challenged to become the curators of a virtual exhibition to MIEC collection to be hosted on the platform of Google Arts & Culture. Reflecting on how cultural heritage can become a marketable product, promoting Portuguese cultural heritage. This article will present the project, its methodology and discuss the results obtained, through a survey study of student’s opinions, assessing the limitations and future applications of this project.
