Divorce is a non-normative crisis of high impact, which places demands on the whole family system. Not infrequently, this adaptive path is not overcome by the internal resources available in the system and, for this, it is necessary to initiate family mediation processes that facilitate the encounter of solutions.
In this text, the existing mediation models are summarized and the socio-family intervention is placed, framing it in models of relational mediation.
The mediation process accedes to the search for a new homeostasis and imposes to grant space to the polyphonies, to transform the narratives and to look for new visions, expanding the quality of the relations.
