The impact of the participatory action research methodology in monitoring families benefiting from Social Insertion Income
Keywords:Social Insertion Income, Personal and Social (Dis)qualification, Participatory Action Research
The Participatory Action Research (PAR) project “Moving Forward, Facing Life's Challenges”, developed with a group of women benefiting from the Social Integration Income (SII), allowed them to develop their self-esteem, expand their network of relationships, as well as enhancing personal competencies and interests for knowledge development, using collaborative and participatory strategies.
The project had an impact on women and practitioner practices. The methodology used required the profitability of community resources and the creation of new synergies, in a more qualitative, efficient and concerted network and cooperative intervention. The PAR encouraged accountability and empowerment, contradicting the logic of more traditional interventions.
