This article intends to analyze the performance art as an artistic genre that requires a reflection on the ritual and the transpositions of «everyday acts» to the field of art, but mainly as a manifestation that implies the inevitable assumption that a scenic resource no more hinges on the word, functioning as a determinant for Postmodernist theater, which is constant refusal of text in favor of so-called Postdramatisches Theater.
