Abstract

It emphasizes the importance of translation in the work of Luiza Neto Jorge between the years 60 and 90 of the twentieth century. Her translations of romance, cinema and theater are considered remarkable. She translates numerous works of classical, romantic authors and, especially, french surrealists like Breton, Aragon, Eluard or Artaud. Her art of carving the word results in a true poetic transfiguration of the translated texts.
