School archives and museums – Sources of memory and historical education

This text focuses on the fundamental dialectic of education: institution, education, society and, within its scope, it serves the educational complex: educating, educator, educated/educable. This structure serves societies, people and institutions. Education is developed in the present, with a future meaning and updating/reinterpretation of the past. Memory is a condition of education. It brings the past to education and history is documented, narrated, taught memory.
In this text, after addressing the complex education, memory, institution that forms the fundamental constellation, a reference to the memory and writing of education is included, namely the school and school memory. Archives, museums and laboratories, heritage, are places of memory and a means of education. Next, the text opens up the link between education and memory for the binomial educability historicity and for historical education, as knowledge, remembrance, experience and symbolic experience, with ontological, anthropological, knowing, citizenship and humanity sense and meanings.
