COVID-19’s pandemic induced the presential educational system on to a remote mediation thru digital technologies of information and communication. From a research about audiovisual’s usage by teachers in the Emergency Remote Education (ERE) at the City of Goiás Campus of the Federal Institute of Goiás, this article aims to present and discuss data about audiovisual’s pedagogic insertion in the educational mediation during the ERE. The methodology involved study of documents, field research and data analysis. The results indicate that 100% of the teachers use audiovisual in asynchronous moments, but 69,7% of them did not receive training for its usage in the ERE, above all as an educational tool in the perspective of pedagogies that seek the autonomy of beings, bringing to the surface the need for discussion about specific training within teachers’ graduation.
