The increasing interest of research on the students’ success on HE and the concern to reduce their dropout rates have demonstrated the importance to integrate the different stakeholders perspectives regards the educational process, with emphasis on students.
Thus, indicators such as the evaluation of the student satisfaction with the course and the institution they attend, allow to infer about the quality of HEIs.
The aim of this study is to evaluate student satisfaction profile from Clinical Analysis and Public Health course Escola Superior de Saúde P.Porto and the importance that they attribute to the dimensions assessed.
A descriptive study was carried out, with the construction of an online questionnaire to evaluate satisfaction and importance that students attribute to the evaluated aspects.
Of the 108 respondents most students report that they attend more than 75% of theoretical, theoretical-practical or tutorial classes, and 99% attend the practical classes. The students were satisfied and considered very important aspects related to course organization, evaluation and teaching-learning process. About 83% of students report that they would recommend the course to a friend/family member.
The joint analysis of satisfaction with importance allowed the identification of areas for improvement and areas to maintain the quality standards.
