Sex education is one of the strategies of sexual and reproductive health, from which an effective contribution is expected to identify, analyze and change the ideologies and practices that reproduce injustice and inequity between the sexes. The adoption of a gender perspective in pedagogical practices contributes to this goal, and I therefore seek to justify and clarify its meaning. I present some generic suggestions for the inclusion of the gender perspective in sexual education activities in school settings, which should be adapted to the intervention contexts.
