Abstract

The project “Active Senior Citizens: Inclusive Practices of Human Resources”, funded by the European Social Fund, aims to characterize the participation of active senior citizens in the national labour market in order to identify intervention strategies to help the recruitment and retention of these workers and, consequently, increase effectively the available workforce in Portugal. This article will focus on the first results of the research, considering statistical analysis and qualitative interviews made with representatives from national companies, governmental organizations and academic institutions that allowed to assess, in place, the participation of silver workers in the labour market.
