Abstract

This work reflects the importance of the existing relationships between the family and the school as these are the basis for quality education. The case study is carried out within the scope of an undergraduate research with the aim of analyzing the perceptions of parents and / or guardians and teachers in relation to the monitoring of children or adolescents. Methodologically, the option was for a quali-quantitative approach, based on observation and questionnaires made to teachers and parents of students of the 2nd cycle of the primary school of Jogo-2. The results indicate that parents and / or sponsor of education do not take the best ways to guarantee the monitoring of their students, that communication with teachers is deficient; in most cases, they are limited to helping in the correction of homework, in the purchase of school supplies.
