Memory transmits knowledge, but it can be inherited, or lived by table, not constituting an experience of the group that we refer to or belong to. This is a situation that seeks to incorporate practices through repetition. The Caminho do Sol, in São Paulo, arose after its founder made a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, in 1996. Since then, activities have been gradually carried out and incorporate references that resemble those of the Spanish Way. The objective of this article is to understand the relationship between the invented tradition and the memory that is part of the construction of the Caminho do Sol (located in Brazil), with reference to the Caminho de Santiago (located in Spain). Methodologically, the research is first considered bibliographical, with literature review in books and scientific articles and, secondly, interviews with the hospitable ones were carried out. It is concluded that in Caminho do Sol there is a convergence of the concepts of invented tradition and framed memory: the search for elements of the pilgrimage of Santiago is in constitutive elements; such as the presence of lodgings - as a consequence of the hospitable ones - or of the route itself seeking geographic similarities.
