This is an essay that is at once didactic, rigorous and aimed at awakening consciences. Sami Nair is a pessimistic Europeanist disenchanted with Europe today, but a pragmatist and a defender of human rights which, in his view, are being violated every day systematically "the values of illustrated humanism are gradually fading" (p.163). In his book, Refugees. Frente a la catástrofe humanitária, una solución real, Sami Nair tells us through this academic contribution that what has been happening at Europe's borders for several years and in particular since the summer of 2015, was predictable and heralds a new era in migration flow management.
