In this review, I analyse the novel My Dark Vanessa, by North-American author Kate Elizabeth Russell, focusing on narrative strategies like the use of suspense, the resort to an unreliable narrator, the chronological alternance between past and present. To substantiate my study, I quote examples taken from the main steps of the plot and I comment upon them.
