Abstract

This article proposes a multifocal approach to the travel narrative "Barcelona. Fragmentos de uma viagem inédita na Península" by Carlos José Caldeira, fervent
suppotter of the Iberian Union, and author of the so-called Generation of 52, responsible for the 3rd edition in our country of the controversial work of Sinibaldo
Más, A Ibéria. The thematic cartography presented proposes a representation of the lived space that intersects with the fictional space, the space of literary remembrance, of previous readings or founding texts of the genre, to enhance the thirdspace, where lived space and fictional space intertwine (Soja, 1986).
