Traditions and expressions of emotions are fixed in every language and pass down from generation to generation as part of the heritage of the complexity and the unique characteristics of a nation, i.e., as part of the collective memory. This fact is demonstrated and fixed in language by phraseological expressions. There is nothing closer and simpler to people's consciousness than our body. This is the reason, why many phraseological expressions include somas (parts of body), which, in most cases, have a meaning of "positive or negative behaviour". In this article, we try to make a brief analysis of somatic units with the soma "head" in Portuguese, Spanish and Russian, with the aim of finding human behavioral differences and/or similarities fixed in these languages.
