A guerra no Médio Oriente e o papel da inteligência artificial na desinformação

A intensificação dos conflitos contemporâneos tem sido acompanhada por transformações significativas no ecossistema informacional, particularmente com a crescente utilização de Inteligência Artificial (IA). No contexto da guerra no Médio Oriente, a desinformação emerge como um fenómeno central, influenciado pela capacidade tecnológica de produzir e disseminar conteúdos manipulados. Este artigo desenvolve uma reflexão crítica sobre este fenómeno, analisando três dimensões fundamentais: a produção automatizada de conteúdos falsos, a amplificação algorítmica nas plataformas digitais e os efeitos cognitivos associados à exposição a desinformação. A análise demonstra que a IA não apenas aumenta o volume de informação falsa, como também altera a forma como os conflitos são percecionados. Na discussão, são exploradas implicações e possíveis respostas, evidenciando a necessidade de abordagens integradas que articulem regulação, tecnologia e literacia mediática.
