Abstract

In today’s corporate environment, where pressure is constant, the way leaders manage their teams has a significant impact on internal communication, employee morale, and overall outcomes. This article explores the differences between assertive and aggressive leadership, showing how each style shapes daily workplace interactions and influences relationship dynamics. Through a critical analysis of academic and business sources, it argues that assertive leadership fosters an environment of trust, collaboration, and mutual responsibility, while aggressive leadership tends to lead to less positive scenarios, often marked by fear and insecurity. The reflection aims to contribute to the development of a more ethical, self-aware, and people-centred leadership culture.
