The The role of Social Responsibility in the consolidation of the organisational Reputation

The industrial and technological revolution had completely transformed society. Production capacity increased, culminating in a succession of social scourges such as environmental problems and social and economic inequality.
In this context, social responsibility has emerged and gained importance in organisational decisions combined with ethics. A socially responsible organisation does not only fulfil economic and legal responsibilities, but this range also expands to ethical and social issues which bring benefits for the organisation and society. One of the main benefits for the organisation focuses on the development of the organisational reputation.
This article aims to analyse the relationship between the two concepts, through an analysis of studies carried out and an assessment of the main challenges for the integration of these practices in the organisational strategy.
