The subject of Quality of Life (QL) and Reward Systems is a significant concern in organizational contexts. Organizations in the mechanical engineering industry, like those in other sectors, face challenges in improving the quality of life of their employees. To increase job satisfaction and human capital, companies need to rethink their strategies and align their human resources practices. With this in mind, a Communication and Human Resources intervention project was developed for Continental Advanced Antenna, based in Vila Real and specializing in the manufacture of antennas for vehicles throughout Europe, employing around 550 people. The project aims to improve the Quality of Life and Rewards System of its employees, using various concepts and theoretical standards. Well-being in the workplace is gaining increasing interest due to its impact on organizational success and employee satisfaction. It encompasses practices, processes and organizational cultures that improve physical, psychological and social well-being. The World Health Organization defines QoL as “an individual's perception of his or her position in life in the context of culture and value systems, in relation to his or her goals, expectations, standards and concerns”. Camara (2011) describes the reward system as a set of tools aligned with the company's strategy, including tangible and intangible elements, to increase employee motivation and productivity. A well-designed reward system is crucial for attracting and retaining talent, increasing motivation and productivity, reinforcing the organizational culture and clarifying the organizational hierarchy.[...]
