Topics involving culture and people have been marginalized in Information Science over time, a factor that influences the scarcity of explanatory theories on this topic in the area, especially when they are interrelated to the management approach. Information culture related to knowledge management refers to a set of values, beliefs, practices and behaviors that promote the creation, sharing, storage and application of knowledge within an organization. This is a qualitative research of the bibliographic type. To this end, a review of the literature on ‘information culture’ and ‘knowledge management’ was carried out. Based on the evidence presented on the interrelationships between information culture and knowledge management, it can be highlighted that information is not only an operational resource, but a strategic asset that defines the competitiveness, innovation and resilience of organizations.
