This article presents the experience of the Regional Electoral Court of Paraíba (TRE-PB) in developing and implementing its General Plan for the Classification and Disposition of Records (2021), an archival management tool recognized as a Best Practice by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) in 2022. The initiative is part of the national policy for preserving the institutional memory of the Judiciary, as established by CNJ Resolution No. 324/2020, and addresses the need to ensure the organicity, accessibility, and proper disposition of both physical and digital archival records. The research adopts a qualitative and descriptive approach, grounded in archival science theory, particularly in the field of archival description, and aligned with NOBRADE standards (2006). The article outlines the methodology for developing the plan, emphasizing the identification of document series, categorization of data types, definition of retention periods, and incorporation of primary and secondary value criteria. It also highlights the integration between the institution's business systems and the AtoM platform as an archival repository, broadening public access to information while promoting transparency, citizenship, and institutional memory. The results demonstrate the importance of technical instruments for classification and disposition in strengthening records governance, accountability, and digital preservation within the Electoral Justice system. The TRE-PB experience underscores the value of combining regulatory frameworks and technological innovation, consolidating the archive as a living space for mediation, belonging, and social transformation.
