Abstract

It addresses teaching about records management in Brazil, with the aim of analyzing the presence of subjects on the topic in degree in Archival Science at Brazilian public universities.. Records management, in the theoretical and methodological field of Archival Science, has become one of the main supports for organizing documents, rationalizing their storage and making access to information more efficient. The exploratory research was carried out, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, emphasizing the data found in the curricular program of college courses, relying on the paper-research-methods, covering understanding how Records Management and its theoretical and methodological approaches are being taught in college courses. The data is collected from 17 Archives and Records Management’s courses in Brazil, located in public and private colleges and the results demonstrate how document management and its theoretical and practical approaches are being taught in degree in Archival Science at Brazilian public universities.
