Abstract

It presents a proposal for professional training in the field of Library and Information Science aimed at library workers in Angola, in light of the shortage of qualified professionals and the lack of structured policies for the sector in the country. Angola is a developing country that, like many others in similar situations, faces a high demand for technical training across various areas of knowledge. In the field of Library and Information Science, this deficiency is evident in the country’s libraries, where current professionals lack technical and informational training to address the challenges of the contemporary information landscape. In this context, there is a noticeable shortage of qualified professionals in the area of Library and Information Science. The project proposes to train library workers in Angola through a training course in library management, offering technical education to work in the field of information, taking into account that not all citizens have equal access to information.
