This work explores the influence of the English punk movement on the panorama of Portuguese punk artistic production throughout the 20th century, considering the function of fanzines as an alternative means of communication and artistic expression. The research aims to understand the assimilation of English punk culture in the Portuguese context, analyzing how the production of fanzines communicates underground philosophy. It even focuses on the evolution of these publications, from the DIY orientation in the 1970s to thematic diversification and the transition to electronic production in the 90s. The text highlights that Portuguese punk fanzines are more than just communication vehicles of English influence; They are artistic manifestations that encompass different local traits that construct unique countercultural narratives, challenging aesthetic norms and representing a constant search for identity and cultural resistance.
