Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study one visual poem of the Portuguese poet E. M. de Melo e Castro. We assume that innovates within the genre by using the camonian cacophony for creating a obscene poem. For this purpose, we divide our work into two parts. In the first, we will make a brief presentation of visual poetry and we'll see how it has spread through Portugal. In the second, we analyze the poem discussing their relationship with the poetry of Camões and your obscene character.
