: This article shows that France is a country of values, which respects its inhabitants
who are proud of their nationality, even though they claim their rights. Starting with an
understanding of the concepts of nation, state and identity, we consider the existence of a French
people who respect the values defended by the European Union. Social mobility, the weakening of
the social bond, the employment crisis and the work crisis come together to promote the rise of the
far right. After May 68, we are witnessing demands for "yellow vests" and terrorist acts which cause
great instability throughout France. With this work, we discover that the economic and social crisis,
the terrorist attacks and the "yellow vests" are shaking the country and that, despite everything, the
French are recovering with increasing security.
