Analysis of one of the children's literary issues where the author Patrick Modiana addresses the issue of lying. A story of a dance teacher (Filomena Firmeza), narrated in the first person, where her childhood in New York is recounted and consequently her present is talked about with a visit to her parents. The author addresses family ties in his work which makes the book interesting for anyone to read and was considered by many as one of his best books.
