The Spanish civil conflict (1936-1939) had devastating consequences for the country. However, the post-war period was also hard due to the lack of values, fragmentation of families, hunger and poverty. Juan Marsé, Catalan author, always writes on the same theme – the post-war Barcelona – recovering the memory of this fracture in the History of Spain. Thus, this article aims at analysing literary works such as Últimas tardes con Teresa, Si te dicen que caí ou Rabos de Lagartija and identifying physical and human landscapes of that period.
