Abstract

The aim of this project is to study the interculturality present in the work Memorial do Convento, by José Saramago. I intend to analyze the work's past, the characters, the present mass tourism and their respective activities related to tourism, as well as touch on some aspects to improve or create in the future. With this work I intend to analyze and show that there are several historical places linked to some mysticism, such as the National Palace of Mafra. The work is composed of some important characters, who existed historically and who, out of curiosity, are not Portuguese, which shows the interculturality presented in the work of José Saramago.
