Portugal and Finland are two European countries, the first from the south of the continent, the other from the top north. Each one has its own culture and the two, despite being different, have some things in common. In the present paper, I will talk more in depth about my experience in Finland for five months. I will compare the two cultures, giving a little more emphasis to the Finnish one, since the readers of this paper are mostly Portuguese citizens, completely inserted in the culture of this country, just like me. I add that all the opinions expressed throughout this paper are personal. The more specific information was collected and written by me after a long research in websites. This work also includes some information provided by a Finnish student.
