Abstract

This short dissertation aims to analyse all types of intercultural relations promoted and derived from the consumption and marketing of the main end product of the noble Douro wine-growing region and which has always fostered enormous interest in consumers, first of higher social status and later to all consumers and hence the still used "Port of Honour", used as a reception point for guests of a particular event.
