"Desvaneio e embriaguez de uma rapariga" is the opening story of Laços de Família, the collection published by the Brazilian writer - Clarice Lispector. This paper analyses the ambiguity and internal contradictions of the Portuguese linguistic system, namely the European and the Brazilian versions. The selection of the lexicon, time and space of the narrative is also studied. It is also possible to establish a relationship between the interiority of the character and the depths of the reading planes, as well as the parallelism of the experience of the author and the character while abroad. Finally, after the analysis of these themes, it is intended to understand the author's position and structure of thought in the construction of the other.
