From Traditional to Social: The Evolution of Commerce

This article analyses the evolution of commerce, from traditional models to the emergence of social commerce, highlighting challenges and opportunities encountered along the way. It explores the role of immediacy in e-commerce, the integration of advanced technologies in social commerce and the impediments to intuitiveness, focusing on the case of payment via Instagram. Through this critical reflection, it discusses the impact of the evolution of commerce and how geographical restrictions affect the accessibility and effectiveness of companies' social commerce strategies around the world.
