Project Management: The Challenges that Haunt a Pilot Project

Abstract

The dynamic and rapid changes brought about by today's market demand the creation of innovative projects. Consequently, it will be the way they are managed that will define their success and drive a strong position, aiming for differentiation and fierce competitiveness, which increases daily.

In this article, we aim to address project management, delving into pilot projects and the challenges they must overcome in their migration to successful long-term strategies.

The mentioned challenges are mainly related to the doubts and uncertainties that arise in the implementation and progress of the projects. These translate into an obstacle since they involve several variables and metrics to consider.

Thus, the content of this article aims to motivate readers' reflection on the question "Why aren't pilot projects a more commonly used solution to test the feasibility of the strategies that are intended to be initiated?" For this purpose, a theoretical analysis of the topic will be explored, followed by a critical reflection on it, resulting from the conclusions drawn and my professional experience in contact with a pilot project.
