Corporate Social Responsibility: The role of communication in combating Greenwashing

More and more companies are "pressured" by society and feel "obliged" to adopt a socially responsible attitude. This is because there has been a great emergence and consequent increase in the importance of this issue in today's society. However, this "pressure" leads to the fact that, many times, the communication that reaches the consumer in terms of Sustainability and Social Responsibility of companies does not always reflect what really happens inside the companies (Greenwashing). Throughout this article, the role of communication at the level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is addressed, highlighting the advantages that it can bring to the company, such as combating Greenwashing practices. It also discusses some examples of companies that have had communication problems related to this theme.
