Abstract

Catering is a developing sector, and day by day people are beginning to value dining, not only as a necessity, but also as an experience. Likewise, the digital world has also been constantly growing and influencing the different sectors of society, including catering. Restaurants and coffee shops must, following the new trends, adjust to the new consumer and to the progress of technology. Due to the wide range of digital media available, and since the objective of the restaurant is to serve the consumer, it is crucial to understand their expectations, habits, customs, and values. Therefore, restaurant brands can analyse which tools have more importance in consumers' choices and choose with which ones they want to transmit the information. Following this brief introduction, this article aims to demonstrate the importance of social networks in the restoration; the function of each of the tools; explain digital interaction techniques and elucidate the size of the technologies nowadays.
