Abstract

Memes are becoming more and more present in brands' social media accounts, they are seen as a tool to create an identity that is different and create a connection with the public through humour. In this article, I present an analysis of publications from companies in which memes are used, checking the impact they had and the feedback each one got, when brands should or should use memes and if any company can use memes in their communication strategy. Social media such as Twitter, TikTok and Instagram are where companies most publish this increasingly used tool.
