This research aims to present the impacts observed in contemporary digital contexts, communication processes, and contemporary society as a reflection of the inherent use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT), supported by digital images. The study is qualitative in nature, based on a bibliographic review using search terms and keywords related to the research theme, and grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Benjamin (1994), Machado (2000), Santaella (2007), Castells (2003), FIOCRUZ (2010), Latour (1994, 2012), Zuboff (2019), and Silva (2022). Thus, the study seeks to highlight the impacts of the inherent use of DICT, supported by digital images, as well as their relationship with target audiences. In this way, it is possible to understand how such dynamics have affected communication processes in the field of Communication Sciences, enhanced by the use of DICT in both digital and non-digital environments.
