The emergence of Web 2.0 has profoundly transformed the ways in which information is produced, organized, and shared, consolidating collaborative practices that reposition the information subject as an active agent in the infocommunication process. In this context, Wikipedia stands out as one of the most significant collective enterprises in digital culture. Its open editing model, combined with the continuous updating of content, demonstrates a dynamic based on participation and collective intelligence. However, there is room to expand its adaptability to the information paths and constantly changing vocabularies of communities of interest, so that Folksonomy could add value to the Wikipedia environment by expanding the possibilities of meaningful access to information. In this sense, this article aims to investigate the potential of Folksonomy as a complementary strategy for organizing and retrieving information on Wikipedia, by analyzing its possible integrations with the principles of Information Design and the foundations of Digital Curation. The methodology is qualitative, with an exploratory and descriptive typology, and the method employed was Design Thinking.
