The Role of the Information Scientist in the Sociocognitive Mediation of Scientific Communication

The advancement of science demands effective dissemination strategies for non-specialized audiences. This study analyzes the role of the information scientist as a sociocognitive mediator in scientific dissemination, particularly within multidisciplinary teams. The research problem investigates how this role is configured in diverse contexts. The methodology is exploratory, based on a qualitative bibliographic review. The results highlight the importance of the information scientist's interdisciplinary training, with emphasis on the sociocognitive mediation of scientific dissemination, and advocate for the systematic inclusion of this professional in knowledge dissemination processes for non-specialized audiences.
