Abstract

This work is guided by the following question: to what extent can the precepts of Library Science, Archival Science, and Information Systems be identified in the concept of information integrity? The general objective is to reveal the extent to which the guidelines of Library Science, Archival Science, and Information Systems are reflected in the concept of information integrity of these organizations. The specific objectives are: 1) to outline the elements that constitute the concepts formulated in the official documents of the UN and the Club de Madrid; 2) to map the references to information integrity in Archival Science, Library Science, and Information Systems; and 3) to compare the concepts of official documents with the parameters of the aforementioned fields of knowledge on information integrity.

Along with the understanding that the promotion of information integrity is pursued in these areas of knowledge, it is possible, through interdisciplinary dialogue, to verify how they organize themselves and outline strategies and procedures aimed at preserving the integrity of information content. The idea is to learn more than just the conceptual framework from these areas, but to perceive and seek ways and inspirations to preserve the integrity of the information.
