This presentation outlines a strategic shift in alumni relations at ESPM, moving from an institution-centric view (focusing on donations and legitimacy) to an alumni-centric approach that prioritizes the professional growth and career impact of former students. The centerpiece of this strategy is the Alumni Academy of Mentors, a structured program designed to empower alumni by training them to become professional mentors. By reframing mentoring as a "give-back" initiative and a potential new career path, the program benefits multiple stakeholders: students develop "difficult" academic skills, alumni become better leaders and professionals, and employers gain access to highly prepared leadership talent.
