Abstract

This presentation outlines the university's plans to commemorate its 600th anniversary in 2025, with a strong focus on alumni engagement. The celebrations will involve both local and international alumni, offering events in Belgium and abroad.

A major event will be the Homecoming from February 14-18, 2025, where national and international alumni, along with former exchange students, will return to Leuven for a series of activities, including campus tours, reunions, and networking events. The anniversary will open with a weekend celebration, giving alumni access to research labs, libraries, and faculty hubs where they can reconnect and participate in mini-events such as quizzes and photo booths. The city of Leuven, alumni associations, and international alumni chapters will collaborate in organizing these events.
